Host: Husayn Izz-al-Din

Guests: Muhammad Tay, researcher and university professor; Azazi Ali Azazi, executive editor of Al-Karamah newspaper; Mansur Mrad, former Jordanian MP and political activist

Topic: The Saudi-Israeli secret communications. Duration : 42 Minutes

(Izzeddine) Good evening. Why there were intensive secret communications between Tel Aviv and Riyadh? What are the fields of their cooperation? Why does Saudi Arabia attack Tel Aviv during the day and meet its leaders at night? Why is there a double standard in the Saudi political position? What is the objective of Riyadh behind that? The secret communications betweenRiyadh and Tel Aviv is the topic of Today`s episode of “Where is the truth?”. I have with me researcher and university professor Dr Muhammad Tay and by satellites from Cairo executive editor of Al-Karamah newspaper, Dr Azazi Ali Azazi and we will be joined from Amman by phone by former Jordanian MP and political activist Mansur Mrad. We start with this report.

(Report) In the study called “Secrets of the US-Israeli alliance” written by Israeli military experts Mailmen and Dan, the writers mention chapters about the nature of the Saudi-Israeli relations where they asserted that Saudis were officially and publicly in a state of war with Israel. However, the decision-makers in Israel knew that Saudi Arabia was actually a pro-west moderate country and even though it used eloquent terms to show its enmity to Israel, it was always and continuously in contact with the Israeli entity. In the field of intelligence, Israeli Mossad agents met with the Saudi royal family security and intelligence agents to weaken the religious fundamentalist forces in theMiddle East. The CIA always knew about the secret Saudi-Israeli communication and encouraged them all the time. These meetings were held in various foreign capitals and in Arab capitals normalizing with IsraelMoreover,Washington and in particular the CIA sponsored many of these Israeli-Saudi meetings in which there were exchange of information. We can say that the first Saudi-Zionist meeting took place in 1939 when a conference was held about the Palestinian affair and was attended by Prince Faysal who was then Foreign Minister. In fact, the Saudi Prince met several times alone with the Jewish delegation in the conference since King Abdullah was trying hard to fortify his relations with the Americans and that by approach the Jews. In fact, Kamal Adham, King Faysal`s brother-in-law who became later head of the Saudi Intelligence services, and Adnan Khashaqji who became later one of biggest gun dealer in the work and had good relations with the CIA and Mossad, played important roles in building bridges between Saudi Arabia and the Israeli entity. These figures were known as the Victoria cell in reference toVictoria College in Alexandria. The Saudi communications with Israel continued during the Egyptian interference in Yemen and the Arab-Zionist wars.

(Izzeddine) Welcome back, dear viewers. Welcome, Dr Muhammad. Dr Muhammad, let us start this episode with the truth about the secret communications between Riyadh and Tel-Aviv.

(Tay) Many reports are published in the foreign press in addition to what was mentioned and which is a part of this information.

(Izzeddine) In the report.

(Tay) What was mentioned in the report. Actually, if there is some denial which is not actually a definitive one. However, at the end, we find that the Saudi policy seems to be oriented in a certain way in this direction. So if you want, since the establishment of the Saudi state, since the deposition of Shariff Husayn and his children till this day, you find that there is a line going along with the British policy initially then with the US policy now. It is known on the other hand that the British policy supported the establishment of the enemy entity and it was the one which established it effectively. And that theUS policy when it was established, it acknowledged it, encouraged and took care of it till now. So for this policy to meet so closely with the British policy first then with the US policy today, this shows that there is coordination. If there is an enemy state, it is the enemy of America and Israel and its friend is the friend of America and Israel. This shows the effect and seriousness of these relations. Therefore, Saudi Arabia needs those relations first to strengthen the authority. Someone may wonder, “Why does Saudi Arabia need them?” It needs them for this objective. You know that Saudi Arabia to some point is a tribal society, most of it...

(Izzeddine) Dr Muhammad, some say that Riyadh has no saying in its secret relations with Tel Aviv and thus, it executes a US agenda to please America.

(Tay) That is normal. No state in the world sets a policy unless it sees that this policy serves it. There are two sides of service: either you serve the ruler or your serve the people. So if we are in a country like Saudi Arabia, it is normal that the service is the service of the existing regime. Therefore, in exchange for serving this regime and for its stability and continuity, there needs to be price. Who guarantees that this regime will continue to exist? As Hasanayn Haykal said in one of his books, this thing is known. If America is the one that guarantees and if the US policy in the so-called Middle East - I do not agree on the nomination- is the Israeli one, therefore to support the USpolicy means to support the Israeli policy. Fine, is this random? Or is there necessarily coordination? If you want to boast politically with a certain side, you have to coordinate with it. Therefore, this is actually the coordination. At the end, we see the results of this cooperation and relation.
